Thanks for the great feedback we had after our first newsletter, please keep it coming so we can ensure we are delivering content that is relevant and interesting!

Welcome to T4B, Troy and Cameron!

We are excited to introduce Troy Riches and Cameron McSkimming to the T4B service team!

Both gentlemen started with T4B last month, and have settled in with the rest of the team nicely! Providing a wealth of knowledge and industry experience, Troy and Cam will be on the front line responding to your requests!

Troy is a self confessed Mac fiend and looking forward to working with our Apple centric clients although he is of course very competent in the PC world too.

Cameron is a proud Dad to three kids and gives back to his local community as a local cricket coach.

Are you keeping your software up to date?

Are you carrying out frequent updates? If the answer is no, you are likely providing an opening to potential intruders.

We know those update pop-ups are annoying, but keeping your device and software update is a key aspect of ensuring that your system is secure.

For T4B Clients on a support plan, on your allocated patching day, take note of the reminders you receive to leave your computer on so the team can automatically roll out any required updates for your software and hardware.

Even for those not on a T4B Support Plan, you will need to upgrade your systems yourselves. Feel free to give us a call to ask us for help, we are always happy to do so!

How do I choose the best device?

Windows 10 support ends in two months’ time, and if your computer is 5-6 years old, you may not be able to upgrade to Windows 11. This may leave you vulnerable to security risks.

As the employee of a valued T4B client, we are happy to assist you with the purchase of a new personal or home-use device. With the benefit of our buying power, and technical expertise, T4B can guide you through your purchase, and ensure you select a suitable device for your needs.

When deciding on a new device, which factors are most important to you? Processing power? Battery Life? Screen Brightness? If you have particular requirements, or just don’t know where to begin, T4B is here to guide you through the difficulties of choosing.

With the benefit of our buying power, and technical expertise, T4B can help guide you with your purchase, and take the stress out of the process.

Feel free to reach out to oscar@t4b.com.au for a friendly chat.

T4B’s Recommendations to You!

You are the final line of defence against a phishing attempt! Are you ready?

Whilst email services such as Microsoft Outlook provide some anti-phishing and spam measures, they are not perfect. Ultimately, the last line of defence against malicious and spam emails is you.

A shocking story out of Melbourne only affirms this even more. As a fraudulent email containing incorrect payment details was not caught by the email service provider. This led to a couple losing $50,000 as a result of a single malicious email. Read More Here.

In our previous newsletter, we discussed the S.L.A.M technique to help identify phishing attempts. With this knowledge, alongside vital services such as Advanced Email Protection, you are significantly increasing your own security, as well as the security of those around you.
